10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Mark Henry

Stories about Henry getting an executive suspended, the name he didn't like, that cage and more!

Mark Henry is one of the longest tenured wrestlers in the history of WWE. He's been a part of the company since he was signed to a lucrative contract following the 1996 Summer Olympics. Henry competed in weightlifting for Team USA in the 1992 and 1996 Olympics although in 1996 he had to bow out due to injury. When he was 24 years old he signed with WWE. He's been there ever since. While the man that is known all over the world as "The World's Strongest Man" is still competing, it's obvious that his career is nearly over. Now that he's 43 years old he doesn't have much time left as an active competitor, but he's still part of major WWE storylines as his current feud with Rusev has shown us. Henry is a guy that peaked late in his career. It took him 15 long years to reach the level that WWE hoped for him. It was 2011 when he finally became a World Champion. A lot of us figured it would never happen, but when he finally got there as the dominant heel on the Smackdown brand he showed that he deserved it. It also made us wonder what took him so long. Due to a number of injuries plus several gimmick changes, it took him a while to realize his potential. Once he did he showed that it's not always about having great matches. It's about looking like a believable WWE superstar, having star power and being believable in everything that you do. Henry showed that WWE was wise to invest in all those years. It's time to take a look back at his 18 year WWE career and try to recall the things that WWE wants us to forget about him. This isn't something where we're going to criticize the man that once put Jerry Lawler out of action due to anal bleeding. It's more of a look back at some of the silly angles he's been a part of (so many things from the Attitude Era) and some behind the scenes stuff that WWE wants us to forget too. If you need a soundtrack while you read this, we suggest his theme "Sexual Chocolate" theme song as well as "Some Bodies Gonna Get It" because both are classics. Here's a look at ten things that WWE wants you to forget about the World's Strongest Man that loves to induct people into the Hall of Pain, it's Mark Henry.
