Global Force Wrestling To Produce First PPV With The Help Of New Japan
The January 4th Wrestle Kingdom event comes to PPV under the GFW banner.

Jeff Jarrett shook up the wrestling world when he first announced his latest venture, Global Force Wrestling. Since then, despite a strong social media presence, the burgeoning companys momentum slowly came to a halt. While Jarrett and GFW have continued to announce new inter-promotional partnerships and worked toward an imminent debut, the company has barely gotten off the ground. However, its now being reported by PWInsider that Global Force Wrestling will air its first-ever live pay-per-view event on January 4th of 2015. PPV providers already have the promotion listed on their schedules for that date. Furthermore, for fans of New Japan Pro Wrestling, the January 4th date may seem familiar. Thats because New Japans annual Wrestle Kingdom event is always held on that date. Wrestle Kingdom 9 will be the promotions 24th annual Tokyo Dome show on January 4th. Seemingly, the PPV will be a broadcast of 2015s edition of the event. PWInsider further reports that the show will be promoted as a GFW event here in the United States -- essentially, the promotions first show. Despite being held under the Global Force Wrestling banner, Wrestle Kingdom 9 will still be a New Japan show -- in all but name. A partnership between Jarretts GFW and New Japan Pro Wrestling was previously announced on June 23rd of this year. The Global Force brand has also previously announced partnerships with various groups in the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Australia, and with Mexicos AAA promotion. Jeff Jarrett even appeared during the final night of New Japans G1 Climax tournament. It was then that Jarrett joined the dreaded Bullet Club faction which is led by current IWGP Heavyweight Champion, A.J. Styles.
