Films are shot everywhere, whether it be on studio lots or on location. Location shoots help give an authenticity to proceedings, whereas studio lots allow for creativity and adjustment on the fly. It goes to figure then that because there are a number of scenes that take place within a hospital in Insidious: Chapter 2, that they would shoot on location at Linda Vista Community Hospital.

What makes this location shoot interesting is that Linda Vista Hospital was an abandoned hospital that was closed in 1991, and is rumoured to be haunted. Insidious isn't the only horror to be filmed at this hospital, as it has also seen horror films such as The Lords of Salem and Boo filmed there as well.
