7 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Nov 11)

Bastards, Bunkhouses, and bloody brawls.

Contrary to Tony Khan's tweet earlier in the day, last night's AEW Dynamite did not shift the balance of power in wrestling. That's fine, though. Khan's promise was unfulfillable and perhaps inadvisable, but getting worked up about a promoter promoting his product is a waste of energy. If you catch yourself doing it, stop. For your own good.

This was a textbook post-PPV episode in a lot of ways, with some of Dynamite's biggest names and personalities striking off in new directions following the events of Full Gear. Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega and MJF in the Inner Circle? We knew those were coming. The extended debut of a new female wrestler dovetailing with a major celebrity appearance? Not so much.

The return of a certain 'Bastard' sat somewhere in between.

A good, solid show on the whole, though last night's highs didn't peak like Dynamite usually does. With the exception of one, none of the downsides were ruinuous, and the episode flowed well from start to finish, having opened with a promo for the first time in months and closed on the biggest talking point.

Cody, Moxley, Omega, The Young Bucks, and more were all present and correct. Scorpio Sky and Shawn Spears finally settled their beef and there was a tight in-ring showcase for Tay Conti.

Let's light the fuse...
