Top WWE Star Injured
This former World Champion is currently dealing with an elbow issue.
One of the hottest stars in WWE right now, Drew McIntyre is currently working through a notable injury.
Via PWInsider, the Scottish Warrior suffered a "badly hyperextended elbow" during his WrestleMania XL match against Seth Rollins. Of course, that match saw McIntyre defeat Rollins to become the new World Heavyweight Champion... only to lose that title minutes later to Damian Priest, as the Judgment Day man cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase.
Due to this elbow issue, big Drew has been seen wearing an elbow pad or sleeve on his right arm in recent weeks. Despite this, DM Hunk has continued to wrestle, competing in a fatal four-way match on the Raw after WrestleMania, and more recently battling Jey Uso on WWE's ongoing tour of the UK.
Away from this injury, Drew McIntyre has yet to sign a new deal with WWE as his existing contract is set to expire soon. There is a belief that McIntyre will ultimately end up penning a new deal with the market leader, but that has yet to happen. On the best run of his career - including having a heated rivalry with CM Punk for whenever the Second City Saint is cleared to return to the ring - it seems unfathomable that WWE wouldn't be doing all they could to tie the Scot down for the foreseeable future, but we'll have to wait and see how this all plays out.
